For Sale: Met "Enchanted Island" DVD (New)

    Hi guys.

I recently ordered the Met's Enchanted Island DVD; today I received (and was charged for) *two* copies. Before I get into a protracted fight with the Amazon seller in question to straighten things out, I thought I'd see if anyone here wanted the spare.

I'll sell the extra DVD (new, factory wrapped, all regions) for $15, shipping included. I don't normally offer merchandise online, so I don't have a payment method set up. But I'll happily take suggestions as to how we might best make the transaction.

I'm not looking to make a profit here; I just want to recoup some of my loss and spread a little opera cheer in the process.

Protracted fight? They are usually pretty good at resolving these things. Have you contacted them? Usually they'll issue you a label to return the product free of mailing costs for you, and will credit your account for the undue charge.

Honestly, I haven't tried. I just thought it would be nice to offer a discount on a lovely production to an appreciative Opera Lively member, rather than wrangle with some faceless Amazon seller.

But since I haven't had any takers here, I guess that will be my next step.

What a stuff up. Amazon should immediately cancel the charges and let you keep the extra copy for free.

I think it may have been an internet problem; not sure at whose end. If I remember correctly, I had to make two attempts to get the order through. Apparently my first was more successful than I realized.

Amazon sends you an order confirmation. Was that sent first before you made the second attempt?

I didn't receive one immediately, but the time between my two attempts was pretty brief. After that, I received confirmation, and didn't pay enough attention to it, or I would have seen that it was in duplicate.

The problem is that I had my identity stolen not long ago and had a new card issued. Now, every time I try to place an order with Amazon, I have to reenter the card information. One more thing I need to look into.
