    Smile Hello from Colombia

I have just discovered this wonderful forum. I'm 42, loving opera since my teen years when Carmen and Aida captured my attention. My real life changing experience was at 16 when I heard Parsifal for the first time (the Transformation Music of 1st act, the Kna recording of 62).

I have produced the opera radio show in an university radio station of my city during the past 20 years, and I have been part of several presentations as narrator (the last one a world premiere of an oratorio composed by a close friend, colombian composer Alberto Guzmán).

I hope to enjoy and be part of the many discussions taking place here.

Thanks for allowing me to be part of this community.

    Juan

Hi Klingsor, Welcome to Opera Lively! This is a great group, very knowledgeable (but not obnoxious about it) and lots of fun. I look forward to your posts on Parsifal - lots of strong opinions on that - and other subjects, as well. Enjoy!

Welcome! Nice to see a fellow South American around here! I've recently been to Quindío as part of my research for my monograph (a Brazilian perspective on Café, con aroma de mujer and Gaviota), lovely place. Can't wait to go back to Bogotá next year for more!

Yep, talking about South America, please Juan, do notice that we also have a Spanish-language section, which has been half-abandoned lately; feel free to add to it; you might want to publish some reviews and/or opinions there in Spanish, from time to time! I'd love to see some expansion in that section.
