Yahoo! $10, just won off ebay in good used condition:

That adds to my collection of Donizetti's four queens.

Brother, you are about to experience some fantastic singing! I play this set through once a year over three days and it never ceases to amaze.

Listening to the clips on Allmusic's website, it is wonderful.

Now I have all four Donizetti queens, the fourth being Mariella Devia in Elisabetta Al Castello Di Kenilworth.

This will be my third Anna Bolena besides Callas and Theodossiou, and my second Maria Stuarda along with Janet Baker (sung in English).

I finally got around to downloading the purchases from my trip into iTunes. I'm a little nervous about listening to them as iTunes has started misbehaving by suddenly going silent for a minute or so here and there. I had gotten used to its flawless functioning and don't know what to make of this new twist. In any event, listed in no particular order and following Natalie's very nicely thought out format:

Maria di Rohan (Donizetti) Myto, Mono (1962) Fernando Previtali with Virginia Zeani (Maria, contessa di Rohan), Enzo Tei (Riccardo, conte di Chalais), Mario Zanasi (Enrico), Anna Maria Rota (Armando Gondi), Mario Rinaudo (Il viscount di Suze), Silvano Pagliuca (De Fiescque), Luigi Paolilo (Aubry, segretario di Chalais) and Orchestra e Coro del Teatro di San Carlo, Naples. This recording is highly rated in Fanfare magazine, so it should be interesting to see if I like the opera better listening to this version.

I think I need to add that recording of Die Entführung aus dem Serail to my wish list. I've always wanted a version of this opera with Wunderlich, but Erika Köth's Konstanze on the Jochum just isn't to my tastes. Rothenberger should be much better, and I'm sure Grist is a delightful Blonde.
