I also forgot to mention that a few weeks (or was it months?) back I purchased The Gambler by Prokofiev on Blu-ray. This was obviously an accident as I do not have a Blu-ray machine.

Still it does have a pretty cover to look at until I return it (sort of a Breakfast at Tiffany look).

    What a dipstick.

Well, I did buy the '52 Keilberth Ring cycle, but it was very inexpensive.

I got the Auckland library to buy it for me to borrow. I just balk at NZ$60.

I'll try to remember to look at the packaging AFTER I listen to the CD then. I tend to get over excited by packaging so that scenario is really quite possible.

I'm starting to worry this can only fail; I'm building it up too much in my mind. At the moment I've got it down as the most exciting thing to happen this year in recorded music...

    We'll see

Pristine normally takes about four weeks I think, so don't forget to check in about then and I promise to give a full report

For me, the trick is to try and forget I ordered it, otherwise those four weeks is like an eternity being dragged over hot coal

I was relatively rich in personal cash. Most of it I blew on classical music and operas. The rest I wasted.
Necessities of life: food, water, air, shelter, and opera.

Have you been happy with Pristine's quality?
