I have both, too. Which do you prefer?

When I researched this opera on DVD I was not keen on Ciofi production. I bought the Florez/Dessay set when I was on a Dessay kick. However, yesterday I saw Dark Angel's review of both and so thought I also should have both. As I have not watched the Ciofi set yet, you will do well to look at Dark Angel's post.

    Meanwhile, just ordered this:
Necessities of life: food, water, air, shelter, and opera.

My third Otello, purchased for Vickers, but I'm hearing very good things about Gobbi's performance also so I'm looking forward to listening!
