I like Jeannine Altmeyer's Brünnhilde, Jerusalem's Siegmund and Jessye Norman's Sieglinde, but I'm not too wild about Theo Adam's Wotan. Not sure about Kollo's Siegfried, either.

MAuer, I am not crazy about Adam's basic vocal quality, but I think he is much better in the Bohm Ring. Perhaps the context of a live stage performance brought out the best in him. I love Altmeyer, too, and just wish her very highest register were slightly more secure. Then again, Helen Traubel(one of my faves)had a short top too, and she did beautifully. And you can't beat Peter Schreier as the Siegfried Mime (I still adore Stolze as Loge in the Karajan Rheingold).

Hasse and countertenor eye-candy. The Veronica Lake look is a bit daft, though.

I have to own everything with Peter Mattei in it:

Only worth it for Peter Mattei as Rodrigo:

This guy was wonderful in Vinci's Artaserse, and this is a good chance to get to know more Hasse:
