I would! Though I've been trying to figure out what hypothetical recording of Fidelio I'd be willing to shell out that kind of money for. Besides one with Jonas, of course.

I like the cover. I could have bought that for the cover alone.

But the leg shouldn't be exposed. It ruins the "Oh gawd" pose of Iphegenie and makes it a bit saucy.

    But she is forgiven.

Yes. If you're going to spoil it, spoil it good. Or bad. Or...

Ordered these two in the last few days. Also ordered the Christie and Layton versions of Messiah and one of Judas Maccabeus, but since they're oratorios and not operas I definitely will not mention them here.

There is also a "What you have purchased" thread in the "Other classical vocal music" section.

Yes, thank you, but I overstated my case in my post and already mentioned them here, inadvertently.

Thank you for your internet order of 19/11/2013.

I regret to say however that we are unable to supply the item you ordered:

Opera Rara - ORC38 (Bellini: La straniera)

We had been hoping that this disc would become available again soon. Unfortunately, the record label has just advised us that it has been deleted from their catalogue, and they have no current plans to remanufacture.
    Oh @£%%$& !

They dropped it because Opera Rara doesn't like the stranieri perhaps.

I know you like the Opera Rara recordings - it still shows as available on Amazon (US). You might also look for this well reviewed (by Fanfare) recording with Caballe, singing at her peak:

With Ermione I feel like I've just discovered Rossini. I'm going to listen to Otello tomorrow.
