The guy in the leather knickers is a reminder that not all Kiwis are dull and conservative.

Actually I don't think Don G. has really thought this through. So he's grappling with Donna Anna and he's got her where he wants her but she's still struggling - and then he has to let go and try and peel himself out of the skin-tight leather and chain mail? Rather dim psycho-geezer if you ask me.

Well in some versions she's not struggling.

Well in some versions Don Giovanni turns out to be named Indiana Massachuset and in final scene with Commendatore he takes Donna Anna on his shovel and they fly to the moon on it together.

That still leaves the bit of peeling.

Depending on who was the Don, if it was me I wouldn't either. Rather a short opera though.

Wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers but not keen on the gear.

Other Dons who could add me to their catalogo - Simon Keenlyside, Christopher Maltman, Peter Mattei.

Well she can even help the peeling if she is not struggling.

    A Regie-Theater version, no doubt.

Haha sounds Geordie. My mum would have said "Wouldn't crawl over him to get to you".

    Hallelujah to that.
