Powerful production, well worth seeing. I think it was Soave who first pointed it out to me.

I just read very sad news. My constant, steady and most cheerful and informative driving companion during Met Radio Sirius broadcasts passed away 3 June.

My heartfelt condolences to Margaret Juntwait's family.

Very sad news, especially since she was only 58.

That is really sad. I really loved her style. The broadcasts won't be the same without her. Big shoes to fill, for Met Opera Radio. R.I.P.

What a horrible family they seem to be (apart from Nike).

Strange, when their great-grandfather was such a kindly, soft-hearted old man.

Actually after reading her biography, I'm even less keen on Cosima.

After that horrible mash-up of the Ring that Katharina foisted on Buenos Aires a couple of years ago, I would think she is the one who should be banished...

And on top of everything else, she would *never die*!

Aw, she was just a woman in love, who lost out to a younger girl. Named Eva Braun.

I wonder whatever came of the plans by Nike and Gottfried Wagner to take legal action in an effort to remove Katharina as head of the Festspiele. According to an item in Opernwelt several months ago, they had engaged Gregor Gysi, a leftover from the old East German regime and now a federal legislator from the Leftist party, as their attorney. (This soap opera seems to get stranger all the time.)

Katharina's problem is that she has all Richard's hubris without any of the talent.
