    Macbeth at the Met, NY

Does anyone have a review of Macbeth that just opened at the Met? I'm trying to follow it. Thomas Hampson and Nadja Michaels. I know that Thomas Hampson did this role for San Francisco Opera, but is now debuting it for Met. Nadja Michaels at one point was the go-to-girl for "Salome".

I'm hoping that if I start a thread people will post as they learn something.

    Thank you.

*sigh* My computer skills are not good enough to keep up with you folks.

I just found a good newspaper article called "Nadja Michael makes Met debut in Verdi's Macbeth" written by Ronald Blum, Associated Press, reprinted in the San Francisco Chronicle.

Could someone seek it out and set up a link to this thread?

    This one?

I'll be attending this Macbeth in person at the Met on April 9, and will publish my review.

Yes, sospiro, that article. Thank you. I'm trying to learn how to do that.

Hopefully the New York Times will run their own article soon.

To insert a link to an article: copy the URL from your browser.
Then write down how you want the link to appear - in the case of sospiro above, the words 'this one?'
    Then highlight those words.
Then click on the Link icon, which is that little planet with a little infinity sign, to the right of the smiley.
Paste the link you copied from your browser into the dialogue box that will open.
    Hit OK. Done.

To insert an YouTube - copy the URL of the YouTube, then click on the little icon showing a film, paste the link into the dialogue box that will open, hit OK.

To insert a picture: right click on the picture. For Internet Explorer, click on Properties. Then copy the URL of the picture that will show in the middle of the dialogue box. For Firefox, click on Copy Picture Location. Come back to Opera Lively. Click on part of the post where you want to insert the picture, then click on the picture icon (the one with a little tree). Chose the From URL tab. Uncheck the little box there (very important). Paste into the dialogue box the picture URL you've copied before (it must end on .jpg). Hit OK.

Parterre posted a review here, although I'm still waiting for JJ's.
