    Gregg Baker is a very impressive Crown -- vocally and physically -- in the video of Porgy and Bess conducted by Sir Simon Rattle. Unfortunately, I've been unable to find a photo that does him any justice.

    Bass baritone George Humphreys. I've read good things about him but not heard him sing, yet. Hopefully will this year.

    can do for a nice-looking but fairly ordinary guy.



    Then you can also go down the mad feathers and eighties eye-shadow castrato route.

    Feathers are good - what about the eye shadow? However, It's probably a good thing that castratos went out of fashion..
