Hello,

25 Years ago, my college dorm mate introduced me to opera when we both attended the U of Rochester, home of the Eastman School of Music. I became a fan opera music since. He went on and continued his studies and career in conducting and composing. This month, traveling from Tokyo where he is currently based, will be conducting the premier performance of the first of his three full length operas in the States.

I am excited to share this news to you and if you are in the Los Angeles vicinity, don't miss this event on the 22nd.

This is an opera sang in Japanese, and influenced by traditional Japanese music art forms. However, it's also presented similarly to Western operas. I am not qualified to give a review, so come and listen & watch for yourselves.

Nice. Welcome to Opera Lively. This poster doesn't need to be restricted to the Classifieds area and easily belong in the General Operatic Discussion or News. It wouldn't be wrong to re-post it there.
