View Full Version : Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra / Bach in my town

I am not a great lover of Bach. I do like baroque opera, but not as much baroque orchestral music.

The Amsterdan Baroque Orchestra and Choir is presenting in my town the Mass in B Minor on March 13, and on March 14 the Cantata 104, the Magnificat, and the Cantata 147. Conductor Ton Koopman.

Should I go? If yes, to which one?

Well, this is not orchestral music, it's vocal music.

The ensemble is nice, and it's a good opportunity to get acquainted with some of Bach's marvels.

If you can only attend one, I'd go to the March 14th concert. It's probably better suited to someone not really yet into Bach's music.
