Home is a Harbor had mixed feelings, but ever since, after reading the composer's defense of his piece and after giving it a second listen, our opinion of it has improved significantly. We were already very impressed with the song cycle, and now we've acquired a better understanding of the composer's artistic choices in this piece that is his first opera.
