Opera Lively Press is preparing a guidebook to George Benjamin's and Martin Crimp's spectacular contemporary opera Written on Skin, which has been heralded as the best opera written in the last twenty years, and a true masterpiece. British baritone Christopher Purves created the role of The Protector in the world premiere in July of 2012 in Aix-en-Provence, and has since sung the role several times.
