This interview with American soprano Joélle Harvey has been completed in person on 12/6/14 on the occasion of her performance in Messiah with the North Carolina Symphony. The young singer has had a busy career already with some very good credits to her name; clearly she is is in the rise. Her answers are very interesting and will entice readers way beyond the local environment of this performance, as they touch on topics as varied as digital experimentation with contemporary music. She also comes across as having youthful enthusiasm that is lovely and refreshing, but also being very humble and nice as a person. Ms. Harvey has a very exquisite timbre of voice, very beautiful. See the specific moments we highlighted in the Messiah video clip at the end of this interview to understand what we mean regarding her timbre. She is definitely a young singer to be watched, with enormous talent. This is Opera Lively interview # 152.
