I'm adding Anna Bolena now to my favourites. I didn't really know it before I saw it live last year so needed to do lots of homework. After I got to know it, it shot up my 'favourite operas' list.

In the opinion of the reviewer this Otello is a bit curate's egg-ish with Kaufmann's performance the best bit. I learned a new word - 'acciaccatura'. The more I learn about opera the more I realise...
