    Favourite non-classical singer

    Who's your favourite non-classical singer?

My favourite non-classical singer is Colm Wilkinson. He has a few technical issues, (like offsets) but close your eyes and forget that he's a tenor, could he not be a Giovanni with the seductiveness of this? (not literally)

    David Byrne. ... Just kidding!

(actually I was just kidding about being kidding--I've seen "Stop Making Sense" about 40 times Hmmm.... Just checking that my underwear is clean since if you are going to stand before an audience wearing nothing but! )

Good grief, all I can think of are Simon and Garfunkel. Guess who's showing her age?

I'm not going to make you feel worse by saying that I remember their names, and even one of their songs--the silence one.

    Frank Sinatra.

    Night and Day. Epic!

    My Funny Valentine. Amazing!

Summer Wind. Why he is that good?

    Strangers In The Night. ....

    My Way. The Best Ever!

So many songs!! Sinatra made me understand the beauty of opera singing! He is not an opera singer. But the way he is singing is so professional.

Virginia Rodrigues has a similar sound as Cesara Evora, albeit with brighter top notes and not as earthy (and likely doesn't sing barefoot..).
