The February issue of Opera Now includes a promo for the March magazine, which will feature a profile of JK as he sings Florestan in the ROH's new production of Fidelio. In conjunction with that production and the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, that issue will also include an overview of Fidelio recordings, including those of the 1805 original and 1806 revision. The March Opera Now will be available in the UK on 27 February, while subscribers on the other side of the pond can probably expect to receive it around St. Patrick's Day. Barnes and Noble often stocks issues of this publication, so the March one will likely show up on shelves there in April. Otherwise, those who just want to purchase that issue can probably do so online at the publisher's web site, https://www.rhinegold.co.uk/rhinegol...nes/opera-now/.

Tickets sold out almost immediately but someone tweeted yesterday he'd seen two seats for sale for opening night (presumably returns) and they were 275 ($355) each and that's not from a tout or ticket agency.

I have a friend who took out membership at 465 ($601) just so that she could get one ticket for opening night. Such is the pulling power of JK.

Oh dear, one has to subscribe in order to read the article. With some luck, though, it may appear on his unofficial web site soon.

Maybe a subscriber can give us the gist of the article without infringing copyrights?

Sorry guys but it looks like the FT has changed its Ts&Cs. I used to be able to get one article each week for free so I didn't save it.

Nothing yet on his unofficial web site. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for the May issue of Opera Now to arrive, which will have the feature on JK that was originally supposed to appear in the March edition.
