I have a new metaphor. It is "That's a Martha" and is something that "I always wanted but never knew existed". For instance Bacofoil non-stick baking paper (the one with the dimples) discovered by accident and now an essential kitchen item for me.
The metaphor stems from Florestan's reaction to the release of Weigle's Martha recording last year. As it happens it apparently didn't live up to expectations; so there's probably a second one there but that's yet to be introduced to Clayton's language.

Beware, those essential items have a way of being discontinued by the manufacturer, at least for me they do. Once I finally find a product I really like, they quit making it. It actually happened with Martha because the absolutely perfect Martha video from German television was up on You Tube and it is not anymore.

And, there are a lot of great opera productions out there that we don't know exist because nobody filmed them and released them on DVD. Some we do know exist and wish were on DVD.
