Free with Ebay Bucks (points). Haven't heard this opera ever, but figured I need a copy.

I know there is a remaster but that was $16 shipped. This is almost as good for $9 shipped.

This is a book with 2 CDs of the Karajan Berlin Phil recording of Trovatore (this one). It includes full libretto in original language and English translation annotated with running commentary on the accompanying music, a history of the opera and composer, synopsis, and bio info on the performers. Photos and drawings of performances, singers, stage sets, and more. I found this accidentally and then a listing came up with this and two other operas (traviata and Boheme) in this book/CD form, plus Vivaldi's four seasons in book/CD form and a Mozart opera on CD all for a stunning $12.98 shipped in like new condition! What could I do but hit buy!

Wife sent me out for groceries, so I went to the store near Dearborn Music. Took my Best of the Ring, a 2-CD highlights of the Bohm Ring, since I have the entire Bohm Ring coming in the mail now. I had paid $4 shipped. Dearborn Music gave me $3. Picked up the following:

    $9.99 used:

Then I rooted around in the $1 bin and found this gem:

I went to the used records store to find some CDs, since my CD wallet was getting a bit stale. Well, I ended up getting a bunch of DVDs (for $6 each) instead.... LOL... darn it... Anyways, for some reason it looks like somebody was offloading their collection of Zurich Opera DVDs only. *shrugs* Fine by me.

While the second part of my Big Haul is still in process--my new internet friend deciding what to get rid of while I decide what to take from him--I made another visit to my local Little Shop. Had to content myself with mere super-bargain (as opposed to garage-sale rock bottom) prices, but still made some nice acquistions, including these three operas.
