Catherine Foster is the subject of a feature interview in the December issue of Das Opernglas. Her Brünnhilde has been getting rave reviews -- many consider her the world's best right now. Hope you enjoy the video!

I am looking forward to it, hope it arrives soon.

I wanted to get the other operas and maybe Siegfried works, but I heard Gotterdammerung has a problem where all the men, after Hagen calls them fourth, come draging their women (literally) and then rape them. I don't need that in an opera. A shame. The Zagrosek set has issues too such as Mime mastrubating in the Siegfried opera. Not openly but very suggestively portrayed. Again, I don't need it.

I will say both Rheingolds were very good, St. Clair and Zagrosek. I could do without the extra Rheinmaidens in St. Clair as some of them were topless, but thankfully their appearance was pretty brief in a couple places in the first act.
