@ Nat: Looking at the size of your latest purchases, it looks like your girls' diet is getting smaller.

After reading Clayton's post, I was embarrased because I hadn't bought the I Masnadieri myself. So, what else was there to do?
and then filled in another of my missing links:

Sorry, the last photo was attached in error - it's a photo from the Washington Concert Opera performance, with Lisette Oropesa and Hao Jiang Tian, where I had intended to attach a photo of the cd. I wasn't able to remove it, so..
Oops............see, we all can do it![]()
Don't laugh! I was a huge fan of the Avengers when I was in high school. I got together with friends every Friday night to watch Avengers and (don't tell Luiz) talk politics. One of my favorite things from those days. Long before I discovered opera (well, maybe not that long)!
I had the whole set on VHS, but by the time I got around to replacing them with the DVDs they were going out of print. This set will still cost less than trying to complete what I have piece by piece.
Oh well, to get back on-topic:
I didn't purchase this, but the review in LISTEN convinced me to at least order it from the library. It's on hold right now, so it might take a couple of weeks to get here:
Who was the stand-in for Bartoli on the cover?![]()

Don't worry, only joking! I am just making excuses for my incalculable increase in purchases compared to previous years. If anyone I will blame Dark_Angel for his recommendation for my latest purchase. I could only find a very expensive used copy of Souliotis' Anna.
I think whichever record company owns these older licenses need to keep an eye on the market; surely if these records are being sold at these prices it is a green signal for them to reprint?
P.S. A note to Dark_Angel, I am only joking AGAIN! I am of course thrilled with your recommendations and also purchased the Divina label edition.
