    Daniela Dessì is dead

I'm shocked. I liked her a lot. Died today, still so young.
Rest in peace, Daniela, and thanks for all the beautiful music.

Such a shock! Far too young. RIP and condolences to Fabio Armiliato.

She had been suffering from colon cancer, for which she had only begun receiving treatment last month.

I was just enjoying the incomparable 1992 Don Carlos from Milan's Teatro alla Scala, with Luciano Pavarotti, Samuel Ramey and Daniela Dessi. Only Ramey is still alive...
