Barber of Seville and Eugen Onegin (October)

    Lohengrin and L'elisir d'Amore (November)

    Entire Ring (January)

    Cenerentola and Tosca (February)

    Simon Boccanegra (March)

    Parsifal and Fidelio (April)

    Die Frau ohne Schatten (May)

    Perhaps Don Pasquale (June)

Ooooh, maybe I need to retire immediately. Wonder if wife will move to Vienna?

But no Jonas!!! Apparently, the performances of Die Frau ohne Schatten in which he'll sing with Camilla Nylund aren't scheduled until October, 2019 -- i.e., the 2019-2020 season.

I'd be going to Cenerentola for Marianne Crebassa; Die Tote Stadt because I love it and because of KFV as Paul; Giulio Cesare because the cast is epic and Robert Carsen is one of my favourite directors and it's on period instruments; Prima la musica because Salieri is hilarious and so is Ambrogio Maestri; Khovanshchina because it's quite rare and Mikhail Petrenko has an Olympic medal in singing swaggering baddies; and Attila in the hopes of seeing Ildar Abdrazakov's chest.

I was reading a short story in which the female protagonist referred to her (cough, cough) assets (cough, cough) as -- well, "assets." Nearly inhaled my iced tea.
