I apologize for my lack of attention. I completely stopped transcribing and publishing interviews (some 20 done and never published) and I rarely post here. I'm not really taking good care of the place.
Why? I continue to love opera just as much, and I love all my friends here.
It's the pandemic. As a doctor, I've been extremely busy and under a lot of pressure. Plus, the politics in my country, which is going through enormous turmoil for months (and haha, I can't say more because thanks to my own rules, we banned political discussions from Opera Lively). With all the opera houses closed down, there isn't a lot to do in terms of interviews and reviews, etc.

I'm confident that the vaccines are coming... life should be back to normal at some point. Then, I promise, I'll engage in an effort to prop up Opera Lively again. Thanks for your patience.

Believe me, we understand where physicians' priorities are right now, especially with this virus seeming to run out of control again. (And things are likely to get even worse with the upcoming holidays, when some people will undoubtedly disregard safety protocols.) I'm just glad to know you're still healthy. Live opera performances will be there for us again once we have a vaccine and have been immunized.
