Very good recording. KFV is excellent - he handles the role without a hint of strain, although I can see where his voice might take some getting used to. His 'In fernem Land' sent chills down my spine.

Like all (I think) Naxos recordings, it's live - so the sound in this case is very good but not great. Performance is outstanding - very quick, accurate, but not eccentric, coloratura. All the singers are good - I didn't detect a dud in the bunch.
