Could it be better than the other Bhm's recording of it, with Schwarzkopf and Kraus? I could hardly belive there is greater Ferrando on any other recording.

Cos is very much a team work. The two Bhm's versions mentioned are both brilliant stuff, but personally I also prefer the one with Della Casa, Ludwig and Dermota.

I agree with Schigolch about the team work. Ludwig is Dorabella in both recordings and you can see how she adapts to the rest of the cast to deliver an even porfmance.
I personally feel a strong sense os intimacy and closeness in the Della Casa version, which is less present in the Schwarzkopf one and which I like very much, particularly in Cos.

If I could only keep one Cosi it has to be Jacobs, but for "classic" style version I prefer the other Bohm with Schwarzkopff / Ludwig (although I own both Bohm versions)

    Sondra Radvanovsky studies underway......
I have seen the MET Trovatore online and decided to purchase DVD for the mega home theater experience

One good sign is that I am playing Verdi Aria CD for the 3rd time tonight....I will have to do a direct compare to Gheorghiu's Verdi CD soon, there are 3-4 common tracks both share

A post-wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk with all the charm and melody typical of Dvorak (who happens to be my favourite composer). Im looking for more of these, please see my thread:

Been digging D'Oreste D'Adjace from Idomeneo. It's interesting to hear how diffrently singers treat some of few last coloratura notes in that aria, Anna Netrebko very staccato and AC Antonacci, well, not so much staccato (don't know how it's written in score but I'd guess that rather straight staccato):

And for something awkward, see here:

    "Awkward" doesn't begin to describe it . . .
