Of cause I don't agree, but I count my blessings with the recordings of the most wonderful voice of last century.

Aaaah I am loving this. First time listening to it.
I think I have found a gateway into 19th century operas in Italian finally! I love Bellini!

"Music is enought for a whole lifetime--but a lifetime is not enough for music." --Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff

"J'ai dit qu'il ne suffisait pas d'entendre la musique, mais qu'il fallait encore la voir" (Stravinsky)
I also like the Antonini/Bartoli interpretation of Norma. Like other members have stated it is a little different from others but I think this is good. However this is one of those operas which I still have an outstanding (damn, I'm using that word again) favourite that comes from La Scala 7 December 1955
(Same performance as Myto recording posted by Festat but I had to go for the Pristine Audio version remastered by Andrew Rose)
After a rather wet finish (in more sense than one) to the cricket, I'm back to the world of opera
it seems to be a Vivaldi week

I'm seen her in only Norma, Anna Bolena, La fille du régiment and her finale performance (can't remember the name of that opera).. Oh and I have listened to her Rigoletto recording with Pavarotti... all in all I really like her, but yeah we all like different things![]()
