What opera have you been listening to, lately?

Today there was another Russian fairytale which I know is also A SoFa favourite. I think it's the cricket; it's made me want to listen to some fairytales.

Yes, I like this very much. Perhaps more so from watching the production for which our Canadian friend translated and added surtitles.

Anyone interested in seeing it, please search for The Demon / A Nervous Gentleman on the sheep channel. I lost the link but hope it's still out there.

Melodiya record label have a fantastic catalogue and their releases are really well engineered. I think if they were able to publish with the text in Russian and translations, they could command prices of interest for them and also increase sale numbers.

C'mon Melodiya; go from good record label to great!

La Sonnambula, La Sonnambula, ... La Sonnambula, with occasionally something else thrown in. For a week now I can hardly stop listening to La Sonnambula. I get bugged like this now and then.

I've given up on streaming due to bad interweb connection. If it's not half song, circles, half song, circles continuously then it's most of the opera then "you have no internweb connection" just at the denouement.

In this case though, I might give it another try.
