Verdi: Rigoletto
Tito Gobbi makes an excellent Rigoletto!
Recording is out there used but rather expensive. Somehow I found it for a decent price. Can't remember what I paid, possibly $20 or $30. The really great thing is I found the DVD cheap, maybe around $10. Philippe Rouillon is the perfect Henry VIII in the video and on the disk. His voice is unique and chilling. You know one false move and he will have you to the chopping block.

HINT: If you like this one, and it is pretty good, why not get two operas for the price of one. It is packaged with Lucia de Lammermoor in this listing.

Lalo & Coquard: Jacquerie
Undecided how I feel about the opera after one listen. Samples sounded great, but listening to the whole opera straight through I've been a bit unfocused. One thing is for sure though, I really enjoyed Veronique Gens. She is really growing on me. I will need to listen to her more often
