Not sure why, but somehow I like it, though I think it will always remain on the periphery of my opera listening. I found it to be weird like Die Frau ohne Schatten, but about 10 times farther up the weirdness scale. I think you will appreciate this rendition of one of the ?arias? from it. It is quite the vocal achievement to pull this off.
The is one with English subtitles on You Tube, but I am not sure if the whole thing is there and it is in many pieces, but Simon Keenlyside is in it. Here is one segment:

So after my initial disgust (my review), I put this away for about six months.
I listened to it a couple times in the past week and still don't like it.
Has anyone here listened to this recording? If so, your thoughts?
