First listen. I like it, especially Gheorghiu. Can't say that it will be my favorite Trovatore though.

I'm doing a lot of DIY projects around the house and find it difficult to listen to opera. Either I get too involved with the opera and find myself just standing there listening with no progress or I get too emotional. Then I might start crying at the standard of work, shout angrily at the tools or start screaming "why?" or something similar at the project.

I did some shopping once while listening to Don Carlo on headphones. I remember looking at a box of cornflakes and crying as I was listening to Rodrigo's death scene. "Ah! io morrò, ma lieto in core"
