I can't stop listening to this. I think I have been infected by the Globolinks. This is all I have listened to (in English) and the DVD track in German, since Monday evening the 29th, other than I listened to several Beethoven symphonies one evening. This is a gem, but I recommend the DVD first as you really have to watch it. I like it sung in German better but it is nice in English to follow along.
Love the part where Mr. Stone, the dean of the school, who does not like music is infected by a Globolink and the music teacher tries to save him by getting him to sing "la" over and over, where the only other thing that comes out his mouth is electronic noises like a Globolink. He desperately continues to sing la for the rest of the opera but is lost in the end anyway.

∆ Yes, that video and the YouTube are it! Wikipedia says: "Help, Help, the Globolinks! is an opera in four scenes by Gian Carlo Menotti with an original English libretto by the composer."

La donna del lago
A really old production but I'm enjoying it.

I also have the Haitink Tannhäuser -- wonderful cast, and I find Klaus König easier on the ears than Robert Gambill in the video from Baden Baden.
