finally recieved and started listening to this ZYX super budget Ring cycle.
its really excellent
vintage golden age singers and excellent mono sound.
a real treat to listen to.

I'm confused! Some of the Amazon reviewers say it is the 1953 Keilberth Bayreuth set, and others say it is the Furtwängler 1950 La Scala set. Which one is it?

Yes libretto is included in booklet that fits inside the jewel case, no slipcover.
As with all Originals series the sound has been remastered
