    I didn't know about that recording of the 1912 original -- I assume Sills sings Zerbinetta.

    Yes she does. Not knowing the opera, I have no idea how big a part that is. So I think maybe I will watch that You Tube Naxos I posted before considering buying a DVD.

    I may get that one if I really take to this opera, but for now the old B&W recording on You Tube kept me interested enough to pursue it further but I got sidetracked when I saw Janowitz and Gruberova in a DVD set, so grabbed a copy at $12 USD from Amazon UK.
