Decent production but no subs. This other production has subs but I like the one below much better from just a few samples each.

What a unique and beautiful voice Olga has. Seems she must be a mezzo-soprano.

I watched the one above today, half way anyway, while working. Really it was Olga I wanted to hear/see. She is awesome. What a beautiful voice.

Now I should watch this one which has subtitles, but the camera work is not so steady:

Finally, the complete performance of Saint-SaŽns’ Henry VIII is available on YouTube. There are no translations provided, but it isn’t as though the story of Henry, Katharine of Aragon, and Anne Boleyn is unfamiliar. There is some liberty taken with historic fact in the fictitious character of the Spanish ambassador Don Gomez de Feria, who is romantically involved with Anne -- until Henry dangles the prospect of the crown in front of her and she throws Don Gomez over. Like the confrontation of the two Queens in Maria Stuarda, the final scene at Kimbolton with Henry, Katharine, and Anne never happened.

This is such a wonderful opera that I still don’t understand why it isn’t more popular. The music is gorgeous and there are big showpiece roles for baritone (Henry), soprano (Katharine), and mezzo (Anne), though the tenor (Don Gomez) doesn’t have all that much to do.
