    Complete operas on youtube

This thread is for complete YouTube operas. Some of the ones posted here sometimes get removed from YouTube so if you see a black screen that's what is going on. We'll be periodically cleaning up and leaving only active links.

Whole Barber of Seville sung in German with great cast including Fritz Wunderlich (Almaviva) and Herman Prey (Figaro) is avaiable (splitted in parts):

    Fritz Wunderlich; Almaviva
    Hermann Prey; Figaro
    Erika Köth; Rosine
    Max Proebstl; Bartolo
    Hans Hotter; Basilio
    Ina Gerhein; Marzelline
    Karl Ostertag; Fiorillo
    Adolf Keil; Offizier

Bayerischer Chor und Staatsorchester, conductor: Joseph Keilberth

Highly recommended, though the quality of upload is not good enough to watch on full screen.

I may have posted this a year or two ago, but it is worth reposting. Complete opera with English Subtitles.
This is a most amazing performance by a young Mariella Devia.

Does anyone know if there's a full length video of Il Barbiere from ROH - the one with Joyce DiDonato in a wheelchair? I pre-programmed the TV to record it from Mezzo here the other day but the recording stopped in the middle of Cessa di piu resistere and I didn't realize before I watched it back... it's so annoying to have it ALMOST complete. meh.

I don't know how you guys are finding these, but a good way is with google video search:

    1. Go to http://www.google.ca/videohp?hl=en

    2. Search for video, ie. "Tosca".

    3. You'll see it returns a bunch of short excerpts. Boo! Click on "Long" duration on the left sidebar.

    4. Enjoy full-length Toscas.

You're welcome, but I have to admit, looking back through the thread - this one has already been posted on page 12. The index needs to be updated!

Edit: The previous post seems to be missing the first act.
